Kinney Selected as 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner |

Joe Kinney was selected as ALNLA’s 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award winner and received the award at the annual meeting held on Jan. 22, 2010. Kinney is the owner of Kinney Nursery in Semmes, Ala., which he opened in July 1988. Before that, he held the position of Sales Manager at Flowerwood Nursery from 1975 to June 1988. He is an alumnus of the University of Georgia, where he received a degree in Business Administration.
Kinney has served as ALNLA President (1999-2000) and is involved in various organizations including: American Nursery and Landscape Association (Senator), Alabama Agribusiness Council, American Camellia Society, South Alabama Nursery Association and the Azalea Society of America, just to name a few. Kinney has also been active in helping with the development of the Gulf States Horticultural Expo. In addition to these things, he is a supporter and contributor to the Auburn University Horticulture Department.
Mr. Kinney has contributed so much to this industry and we congratulate him on his accomplishments.
