ALNLA Horizon Award to Bryan Word |

At this year’s Annual ALNLA Meeting held on January 22 in Mobile, Ala., Bryan Word of Blackjack Horticulture was named the 2010 Horizon Award winner.
Word is a native of Guntersville, Ala., and is an alumnus of Auburn University. Throughout high school and college, he operated a landscape company of his own in Guntersville.

The Alabama Nursery and Landscape Association is pleased to announce that Landscape Workshop, Inc., of Bessemer, Ala., was selected for the following Landscape Awards: Commercial over $25,000, Single Family Under $10,000, Residential Landscape Maintenance and Commercial Landscape Maintenance. The awards were announced at the ALNLA Membership Meeting held in Mobile, Ala., January 22, 2010.

Horizon Award: Recognizes an individual for outstanding service in the field of horticulture who is either less than thirty-six years of age or has been in the green industry less than eight years.
2011 ALNLA Horizon Award Nomination Form
Landscape Award Program (Monetary Award): Landscape firms can nominate their residential and commercial landscape work. There are six different categories in which to enter. This program is intended to promote professional excellence and to encourage greater public awareness of the benefits of landscaping.
